Two of our young people have been selected to go to the WSJ23 and last weekend they had their first weekend training camp at Spitewinter in Chesterfield. The weekend proved to be cold and even snowy but there was much fun and friendship and the camp provided a great opportunity to meet the other 70 Derbyshire scouts/explorers that will be going to South Korea next year.
It was a great weekend, thoroughly enjoyed by all (if the photo evidence is anything to go by). They had Korean food, developed skills in the language and participated in several team building activities. The leadership team were amazing and created such a fun and supportive atmosphere.
