Cubs have Splashing time!

Eckington Cubs have had a splashing good time over the last months down at the Leisure centre. Completing badge work on the swimming capability of the young persons and instructing them on the health and safety as well as having lots of fun. This led onto taking part in the District Scout swimming gala where Eckington won the Relay trophy for the third year running.

Back on dry land the whole of the Scout group participated in an adventurous Challenge hike through Eckington woods where they had to take part in various activities to gain points.

“I loved the team work of trying to pick out the explosive mines out of the shark infested custard” said Cub Scout Freddie.

The day finished with a well deserved campfire lots of sausages and some roasted marshmallows accompanied with a few group songs as the evening set in.
